Small TAts of Kindness: Tattoo Artist Offers Free Service to Teen with Dyslexia"

Acts of kindness can make a big difference in people's lives, and that's exactly what happened with Amanda Morris and her teenage daughter, Alexis. As someone with dyslexia, Alexis struggled to differentiate her left from right, and it had become a significant challenge in her life. Morris suggested getting small tattoos of an L and an R on each hand to help Alexis, but most tattoo shops quoted exorbitant prices that the family couldn't afford. That's when Morris found Ambitious Ink in Frankfurt, Kentucky, and messaged the owner, Scotty Jr Thompson.

In her message, Morris explained that her daughter had dyslexia and needed a simple tattoo to help her with left and right. She asked Thompson how much he would charge, to which he replied, "How about free?" Thompson, who learned tattoo artistry from his father, was upset to know that other shops were charging so much for such a simple design. He believes in being an "everyday man's tattoo artist" and wanted to help Alexis without charging her or her family a ridiculous price.

Alexis finally got her tattoos done with full parental consent when she turned 16, and Morris shared that Thompson was "incredible" throughout the process. He walked her through everything step-by-step, and he made sure to ask her multiple times if she was okay and if she liked the design. The tattoos made a huge difference in Alexis's life, and Morris couldn't thank Thompson enough.

Thompson later posted about the experience on Facebook, sharing that he did the tattoos for free and with a hug. The post went viral, with many people praising Thompson for his kindness and expressing gratitude for people like him in the world. Despite the attention, Thompson shared that his intention was never to seek recognition; he just wanted to do the right thing and help someone in need.

Acts of kindness like Thompson's can make a big difference in people's lives. It's heartening to see someone use their skills to help others without expecting anything in return. Thompson's story is a reminder that there are still good people in the world who are willing to make a positive impact on someone's life.
